MMP has been the birthplace of award-winning music. Bett Butler's "When Love Has Left the Room" won 1st place in the Jazz Category in the prestigious 2006 International Songwriting Competition, and her CD Myths & Fables won a grant from the Artist Foundation. "Raul's Neighborhood," from Dilley's River of Hope, was chosen for inclusion on the Music of San Antonio compilation released by the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau and was recently licensed for a project by London-based Paragon publishing company. "Danzas de Alegria," from the same album, won 2nd place in the Instrumental Category of the Austin Songwriter Group's Fall 2006 Song Contest; "York Creek Exit" from The Window placed 3rd and was chosen as the theme song for KRTU 91.7 fm's weekly show The South Texas Jazz Project. The Window was a semi-finalist in the 2006 Ultimate Band Contest on ubl.com and was chosen Disc of the Day at KSDS 88.3 FM in San Diego shortly after its release. Recent projects include CDs by jazz trombonist Ron Wilkins, R&B vocalist DeeDee Williams, singer/songwriter Cece Box, jazz/classical guitarist Paul Harper, trumpet player/composer/arranger Cecil Carter, and guitarist Ben King of Talking Taco Records.
